A complete redesign of my first design for their website, Steve Ramos wanted the site to feel more organized and corporate. The colors of the old site were bright yellows and dark blues, close to the organization’s signature colors. The font was in Comic Sans Ms (I know, I know) and the backgrounds were different colors on different pages.
This was to be my first challenge with CSS3, as it had just been brought to my attention. I wanted to add curves, shadows, and CSS menus, just to get away from the flat colors and self resizing table menus from before.
The main reason they needed a redesign was to build their base of followers, per say. The organization slowly stopped many of its events and programs. Through Facebook, Twitter, and even YouTube, hopefully they can bring it up. It is my job to make them look good from afar.
This project, supposed to take months, has taken over a year. Content was continuously added and finally, in June they allowed me to launch the site.
